So I get an email this morning telling me that my photo is being included in this online map thing, after I told the lady that the photo is a monument at Fairmount Cemetary and NOT at Cheeseman park. She said she wasn't going to include it but still did (I can't direct link to the picture, but they are on the side bar and scroll) and then she didn't credit me with my full name either. I have to say I am actually glad my picture is out there but still...you know my full name. Classy. I guess I can be happy my pictures are "out there" but still it annoys me that while they did utilize the Commons attribution license they didn't use it correctly. Whatever Emma, thank you for using my photo. I am not so ungrateful that I don't appreciate your including it, I am just disappointed that it is used for your purposes incorrectly, but then again... it is her site, not mine, I did let her know that it wasn't what she thought it was and she used it anyway. I guess I can't be that particular. It was nice to be included and I am happy it is used incorrectly even. And she knows, I emailed her. So yay.
Go look at the pretty pretty pictures people have taken of our city. It is a pretty amazing and lovely place. Denver is really a cool town and to see it through photographers who are far more talented than I is a nice thing.
Maybe your City has a site too!

Ok so I just went and looked at some stuff on my flickr and I have to admit, I am a little freaked out. NOT IN A BAD way promise, but in a holy shit kind of way. Seriously. I can't really explain it but um.... I am a little weirded out and yeah it is "pretty cool" um its pretty damn cool.
So that being said, being back in the office after a week being out (for work) wasn't as horrendous as I thought it would be. Honestly I only came back to 157 emails and about 30 of them I was aware of the issues presented in them and had already handled so it was just a matter of filing them for archiving and things. I actually left at five and am not feeling stressed at all. Weird.
I will post Monolith pictures from last night and yesterday later when I get home from running some errands and dinner, I just haven't had a chance to download yet. Tonite hopefully. I had fun, really and I am not saying that because I might still have a contact high from all the pot. Seriously talked to a bunch of really interesting and rad people, people are friendly, except the annoying brats sitting behind me who were jammed up in the row and waiting for Justice and were beligerant. But 4 out of the bunch....not so bad. Realized after hiking those damn stairs twice that I am really really REALLY pathetically out of shape, kudos to F for doing it multiple times over both days of the festival, he is soooo the man. Didn't take advantage of the media pass though, free ice cream and booze not enough for me I suppose. He did bring me water from the media tent though. He is a nice man. More on it later.
Just know I am whiggin out a little bit, trying to not be a nutter and heading off to dinner with the fam.

I spent today on a little vacation on my couch.
No worrying about errands, lists or even anything I should be doing. YIKES! I actually did it. So here it is 9:35 pm and I have gotten through my four foot high tall pile of magazines. I do not joke, it was huge. I didn't read a single article but pulled slip sheets out basically and are down to under probably 300 pages.
I also got my first Time Capsule from Photojojo. Now there are alot of things that I like about PhotoJoJo, not only do they send out the MOST amazing tricks, tips and motivations, but at the bottom of the time capsule... there is a block where you can add your very own message to your future self. I mean seriously that is so completely the most awesome thing ever. These are not my best pictures but certainly am digging the concept.
Here is some information about their methodology but all I know is that I have been a subscriber for quite a while to the weekly email, and even like to it in my blogroll over there ----> so you can check out its most excellentness on your very own.
I am slightly panicked about spending this money for this birthday party in June. I have to travel and literally I am going to just fly out for the day probably. The party is the weekend of Father's Day and if I am not back in Denver I anticipate a hail storm of guilt if I am not back. The airfare will be almost 400 bucks and the room will be 300... it is a lot of money to spend for a day tripto go bowling. I honestly am not quite sure today if I am willing to spend the money. I feel absolutely shittastic for even thinking it, but damnit I do. It's a lot of pita chips at Sunflower I have to admit. It's a mortgage payment and my utilities. It's like half a Louis Vuitton purse (not that I want one or would even buy one, just sayin').
So the snow is beginning to fall, just as predicted. As also as I would have predicted Herschel wants to go outside and play in it. Which I love because when he comes in I wrap him in a towel and dry him off and its seriously so f'n cute I kvell. Tomorrow it will be a day to bake I think. You know baking during snow... magic.

found on my reader on Neatorama
I think this is pure hilarity. See what I am talking about with art being found on Flickr? I mean come on, this is great.
