so with all the news about The Gates, I am absolutely frantic. I have no job obligations and seriously I would LOVE nothing more than to go and see the installation. I have always been really impressed with Christo and Jeanne Claude. My brother was in Germany and saw the Reichstadt and secretly (well not so much anymore since he reads this here bloggie thingie) have always been so completely jealous I could spit. I had a friend who was also there as they were dismanteling the installation and she brought me back a peice of the fabric ( or so I thought, but after reading this information I doubt it) which I have always treasured. Now even more so since it is completely fraudulous.
I am though thinking that for the same 350 bucks the airfare would cost me, I may instead order a signed print. I so need some artwork for behind my couch. I am thinking about making a call to the gallery on Monday.
I love that they don't EVER charge for the joy of their art. If you are in the Central Park area I really hope you enjoy as much as I would...Email me a picture and color me so very jealous. Sunrise Saffron Jealous.

What you should do to cool off a litlle is purchasing poster nr XXVII (http://www.40yearsofpublicart.org/index.html?catg=3&prod=18380) Unsigned $105 and after framing it with real museum glass it is impressive enough to give you the creeps! We did and i am happy with it.
