So yesterday I went out on a blunch date. He was nice. Cute. Peircing and I mean peircing blue eyes. Not too much hair, not too tall. Very interesting, funny, talkative, smart. And better than any of the other shlubbie guys I have gone out with from JDate in the last say oh... decade. (This wasn't a JDate as my profile has been off their site for months, this was a family fix up)

Remember the guy who pulled the "I didn't know you were so fat" comment... or the guy who said "really you don't drink alot, well how do you get laid?"...or say what about the guy who because I worked in the film industry decided that he would ask me if I knew anyone in porn because "he thinks he would make a great porn actor" (seriously and not two tables away from a gaggle of my grandma P's friends one sunday morning at Zaidy's)...and the BEST one ever....what about the guy who "we'd" me to major disappointment (oh wait no one but Mr. Squishie knows about him...)? All winners. But this gentleman really wasn't any of those things. No weird first date red flags.

But.

And isn't there always a big ole but...?

He doesn't live here. Not even close. I am talking a plane ride away. He said that he is thinking about moving back to Colorado but isn't sure. So why get a girl's hopes up? Why treat a gal to a lovely meal with lovely company and then just drop the little news that oh yeah... I am only in town for the weekend and may or may not be back.

It was weird. And I have to say more than just a little disappointing. Sure he may call, and it would be great, but I don't really see it happening. He doesn't even live here. What was the point? I guess sharing a meal with good company.
