So here I am ... trying to figure out my very next personal project.  I decided that I am taking an honest reflection of my "stuff".  See here is the deal.  I have alot of junk piled up everywhere in every known spot in my house, every shelf is crammed to the gills and honestly I was sitting in my living room yesterday and I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of things I have piled up everywhere. From DVDs that I will never watch, to books I will never read (but I have brought in four grocery bags of books to our office book exchange, so it is a start), to cords for electronics that I might not even have anymore, to well you name it.  So.  I decided, if there are people who live in NYC in 500 SF apartments and survive with the things they need to survive, well gosh darn it, so can I.

Yes yes yes... I know I have said this before and I have kind of chickened out, but this is for real this time.  I am going through the gift closet, the purse collection, the glassware, the dishes, the clothes (yikes I said it), the shoes (oh sweet baby jebus, not the shoes....), the linen closet, the makeup/soap/lotion collections...

Every night for an hour I am going to seriously assess what I need to survive, not what I spent money and and still haven't used, because this is getting serious now.  I need to get the crap under control.  I want to be able to have people over to my house that might not know me, and not have them think... clutterbug... crazy keeper lady.... This stuff will either go on freecycle or to goodwill.  Because seriously someone will find value in these things, I certainly need to work on separating myself from all the junk.

I was going to go down to the hi-dive tonite, but I decided that the only way I can go out and have a good time and enjoy all that Denver has to offer is to go through ONE area in my house.  Whether it be the plant stand (where I have a ton of crap piled up which is ridiculous, and my plants also need to be managed a little bit, to my sideboard, to one shelf at a time in my laundry... you get the idea. I am not trying to make myself overwhelmed with this stuff, but certainly I can do better and not be so packed full, I think my living space will seem more open and warm and inviting if I don't have things everywhere.

So there that is.  I will take pictures of my progress, they will be in flickr but under the friends and family cut because seriously, I am just more than a little ashamed of exactly what kind of crazy I have going on.
