So for a Chanukah present to myself this year I am taking some (well a day) time off from work. Tomorrow I am not going into work. I plan on making the absolute most of my day.

I was thinking about taking Herschel to Mom and Dads and driving down to Sante Fe (yes to go to Trader Joes, I mean what else is there in Sante Fe right?), but Mother Nature she is messin' with me. Raton pass is getting hammered with snow and I am not thinking I want to drive in that. So the fluer de sel caramels will just have to wait. I am ok with that because it means that I am going to be able to do some cleaning out like I have wanted to do. I suppose a little closet purge is good for the soul.

My credit card balance is out of control (for me but sadly not for the rest of the world) right now so it might be best that I don't spend lots on gasoline. I will get my credit card paid off in a week and then I can make another decision about going. Sadly it will probably have to wait until Spring.

I called my boss "Special but not Short Bus Special" today. Sometimes I don't have a filter and should. Thank goodness, I mean really I am lucky as hell that he has a really great sense of humour and than he made fun of my making up attendees names for his expense sheet. Mario S. Galax really had a great lunch at Cool River or some such non-sense. I was under pressure to get the report filed ontime and he was in Hawaii so I had to do something. Our Accounting department keeps changing the reporting rules and it so far from awesome and so close to frustrating the bejebus out of me they deserve it. I really do love my job. But not enough to be there tomorrow.
