OK so I just got off the phone with Excel Energy. Why? Well because I got an estimated bill that was double my previous bill. This has never happened to me before and I was a little concerned because the amount was almost 30 bucks more than last month. I understand that the meter reads are done by a human and that human probably had something bad happening in his or her life and I hope that this person is ok first of all. But when I called the customer service rep... and I am calling her out... April... treated me like I am a lollygagging bill payer (which I am not... I pay my bills ...every single one of them the DAY I get them) and I was looking for a way out of paying this one. I wasn't at all.

All I wanted was an explanation about next month, will I get a service credit? Can they send out someone to read the meter again? What are the options? She got combative and said "listen...you have more than made your point, what do you want me to do? If you want someone to come out it will be $40.00 do you want that? Do you?" I would like for you to get someone else please at this point, is exactly what I said. She put me on the cueline again and Neil/Neal picked up. He let me rant for a few minutes and then said..."do you know where your meter is? You can read it yourself and we can readjust and send you out a new bill". That is all I wanted.

April ... honey... Excel is a gargantuan company and I appreciate that customer service is probably the first in a step up, but you need to find a different position. Take a lesson from Neil/Neal, he is the real customer service goods. I told him to have a supervisor call me so that I can give him the kudos that he deserves, because he gave me an answer that was honestly all about "best results".

So tomorrow when it is light out I will take a reading and call it in. He offered to wait if I wanted to go out tonite, but it is too dark to try and find exactly which meter of the four is mine.

Tomorrow is one of my favorite people in the world's birthday! I totally flaked and didn't work it out to get him a card, but should you read this... I love you (you know how) you rock my friend and I can't wish you anything but the best year to come...see you Saturday after Lynch though!

I wanted to clean the house tonite, but since I have the night off tomorrow night I am going to do that instead. I am watching Martha talk all about vinegars. I loves me some vinegars. I love balsamic vinegar and just found that I had in the back of my pantry a Modena that is 30 years old! That freaks me out. I think Dr. Evil gave it to me at some point. I need to do something with it. So I am going to look up some recipies.

I also have some shopping to do. I went to Cherry Creek Mall tonite after dinner. I walked through Urban Outfitters (for hipster ideas)and Anthropologie (and the woodie theme they have is freakie, but their decorations of straws and cups was great but not as cool as the marshmallows last year) to see what they have and definately have some ideas. It throws off an idea I had for someone that reads this so I have to not link to anything but ... only because of cuteness...maybe.

I am craving potato chips for the record.
