Whipped Butter and Matzah... I am not alone

Isn't it odd that Matza and Butter are really truely only enjoyed together on Pesach. And why is that? I always thought that Matza and butter was some weird concoction that my parents served me and my brother because it was quick and easy and fried matzah in the morning before school was a time waster and general pain in the ass (but really very delicious and I can't wait for it tommorrow morning).
No... I read that I am not the only one that grew up and now is excited to go to the grocery and buy that tub of salted whipped butter (the only time of the year I actually partake in butter other than for cooking) to spread on that matzah. Kinda shook me up a little bit I have to admit. I look forward to it, like it was my own little tradition from my family. Nope. Everyone does it. I am not so unusual. Does that mean eating all the "chocolate" off the outside of the ring jells before eating the raspberry jelly candy isn't so unusual either? Dang.
