So Purell and alcohol based sanitizers sorta work a little but only outside of the house sorta. Doesn't matter, I have it on my desk at all times. And it's citrus scented. It might work on the common cold but it doesn't work on MRsA (not that we have that at our offices but I know one place of business that had it. Ok I am still bitter) ( via treehugger)
San Disc is coming out with an 8GB memory card. That just completely freaks me out. I remember the days when an 8GB HARD DRIVE was a big deal. When we upgraded my bosses computer at home and he was so freaked that his computer came with a 10GB Hard Drive and he could now save all his work documents at home (which he never did) by transfering them on floppies. Technology is amazing sometimes. (from Apartment Therapy - home tech from ubergizmo.com).
I added a couple blogs:
- YouSayToo.com - people adding random possibly really interesting information. Found initially from this page referenced in a photoblog of which I do not remember which one for the life of me.
- BerkenBlog.com - his post on R & D was interesting and that is why I added him. I have to find the inspiration anywhere I can get it these days. It might not stay in my reader though I might just bookmark the entry and refer back to it.
- CulinaryColorado - Claire Walter posts on Chowhound too and that is why I subscribed to her blog. It might be a little more open versus on Chowhound just giving opinion to a question asked. I like her tastes (from what she has posted on Chow) so I will be interested in reading her blog (this is one of like four she has...)
- Delight.com - sort of like Woot for drekorations. Some of the stuff is cute. Use to be more of a blog than a shop though and that is why I had it bookmarked in the first place. I like the blog end of it not the shop so much. I have to be truthful.
- Starbucks Gossip - just cuz. I live for my Dazbog, we all know that but its interesting reading about the corporate coffee experience.
I dropped the following:
- Chowhounds Chains - bbs feed (mostly people kvetching about how they didn't like stuff, I want to hear the good stuff - soo buh buhye), I love the Southwest Board (thanks for the heads up Booger).
- Pro Blogger Tips - not at all something that I really needed. Focused way to much on money making and how to increase readership by the 100s or 1000s (while that would be ok, not something I am focusing on)
- Purple Liquid - a wine afficianados blog, not my deal, who was I trying to fool?
- Real Baking with Rose Levy Beranbaum - subscribed during the frenzy that was the No Knead Bread Phenom but I have found sites that offer more recipes that interest me more. And by the way, I still make a bread a weekend (not this weekend though) it really is terrific.
Filing my taxes today also. I remember last year this time of the year I was in line at the post office and it was windy and there was damage to my car. Remember how annoyed I was? Well thishis year, I am not taking any chances actually. I am not mailing a box out, but I am planning to go to a different post office where there is a large parking lot and NO newspaperboxes and it is in Denver so they are secured into the cement. I also need to pick up stamps (did you know they used to have Muppets stamps? I am bummed that I didn't pick any of those up a couple of years back. I will have to call the stamp collecting unit downtown (I just did and the really super lady who answered the phone said they are out, and was sad about it for me... but they do have them online.. I need these I think, I mean the Swedish Chef for gawdsake... on a stamp... brillant.) Have I mentioned how much I really do love the Postal Service. I really do. I have to wait until after 2:00 and a meeting,but really that is fine. Miss the lunch hour rush.
I have completely avoided Matza Pizza this pesach. Crazy. I will usually eat it at least once. I have rebelled this year I guess. One more night of the Bread of Aflliction and my digestive tract can go back to normal too.
~~~posted late at night after waking up realizing I need to make sure that Fuddruckers has a fish option for my grandfather who keeps Kosher so we can break Pesach tommorrow night at the usual "joint", all I can say is I can taste that bun now~~~
