So my little blinkcam, while I wasn't feeling the love yesterday when I got home, today actually made me pretty happy. I blame it on being sick as hell (I mean I left work early and immediately crawled into bed and then proceeded to sleep for over 15 hours) and not having enough energy to actually deal, so I let the images go away of whatever I took(the battery life is incredibly short which then eliminates any photos, but I am aware of this and didn't care), which honestly I can't remember. I woke up this morning, not any more refreshed but remembering taking Herschel for a walk last night at about 8:30 and seeing a huge ass raccoon in the trash bin and two bunnies (BUNNIES!!!! RACCOONS!!!! I kinda like nature when its cute and furry and not doing much besides foraging for food and junk).
So anyways, woke up and that was the sky I saw. Then we are out walking and Mr. Squirrel actually yelled at me and sat there in the nook of that tree and we had a little stare down. Then I took his picture, he sat there and we moved on. By the way... the grass is totally turning green which is awesome, it means I can go and get flowers soon for my planters, I am thrilled.

I really want to explain, this squirrel was having none of it if we kept walking without paying attention to him. His friend further up in the tree was annoyed we bothered to stop but this little creature... totally into the staring contest and practically started it.

I went to work, immediately regretted it because I still feel largely like poop and sat at my desk all day trying to remember why I needed to come in... oh yeah... how could I forget since I have heard about it for like every day for the past month. Cake day. That hallowed institution of office camaraderie which forces people to stand around for 10 minutes happy to not be at their desks for that 3:00 sugar high... I say Hell to the Yeah. I dragged my tired and head cold into that office for chocolate cake and butter cream frosting. I loves me some cake day, whether I can taste it or not...gimme some frosting. While out of focus (the camera does better outside) it was delicious. My teeth ache still, but soooo worth it.

I also took pictures of my desk...say Hi to me in the mirror... almost all day and largely got nothing done except trying to not blow my nose while my cowerker was eating her lunch at her desk and working because seriously that is f'n gross. She noticed and came over and said thank you. I could have plotzed because seriously... while not the most conscious of things I did today, I totally didn't want to gross her out while she was eating and enjoying her lunch.


PS my plant is doing really well in my cubie and it makes me happy. Hoops, YoYo and Piddles like it there too, but not as much as I do, I totally would have gone in today cake or not, lets be honest.
