Seriously. I loves me some Jonathan Adler. I wish he had the chutzpah to actually say "you suck good luck" (go to page one to see what I am talking about) instead of his other phrase, but now everytime he says "see you later decorator" I am totally going to hear the other thing in my head. Not so much to really oooo and ahhh about on last nights show. I do have one question, why in gawds name wouldn't anyone actually carpet their rooms for a 10 year old kid? Seriously... hardwood? Those kids are accidents waiting to happen, a nice half inch padding under some nice stain resistant carpet would have been great. I understand there is some serious product tie in happening there I am sure, but come on.

And lino in a bedroom? Even before it was for a kid, John should have known otherwise. I may have carpet in my bathroom but I would NEVER have lino in my bedroom. Not something he should have bragged about as an option. Mayor of Excusesville? Hee.

I also loved Mr. Adler's clothing choices this week. His pants? Less tight, unlike the pursed lipped Lagerfeld half driving gloved witch that was a co-judge, seriously Carrie Bradshaw does not live in your closet, put those fucking things away. Always. And the mini dress with the sparklie tank top and blue tshirt... BARF, dress like a judge with a little respect, Mr. Jonathan Adler wears a tie (and a pocket square, see he is a gentleman), maybe she should consider never wearing that outfit or the gloopie side stride hairstyle ever again. I don't care if she designs for a living, edits a magazine or sells cookies from a cart in the lobby of an office building, that outfit and her attitude were awful. Jonathan Adlers shirt was amazing. I wish I knew Simon Doonan because I would have him show me where that shirt was in Barneys and scoop them up for all my man folk. (Oh and a quick aside... thank you Mr. S, sure you broke my heart way back when with your crazy shit, but I appreciate you sending me back my Delicious Vinyl tshirt after all this time, classy).

Goil though needs to step away from the big glass pepper showroom though. And I thought his room was sterile as hell. Rolling furniture, ingenious but a disaster on walls, hardwood floors and a parental nightmare, I am glad he didn't win, but gets to stay, it will be interesting to see how many more times that peice ends up in his rooms, I say at least two or three more times. Anyone want to put a nice dinner on it?

The only element I would walk away from this week would have to be, um, this is hard, I would probably put um, not much. I liked the recessed lights in the wall, but actually I would consider putting something like that in my walk in closet with a big mirror at the end of the wall (where my shoes are stacked right now). That would be neat-ish. I also liked very much the pink Isaac bedding they bought at Target, but in that cat room? Not so much. No... it would be sitting and having an interview or even my picture taken with the jars I am going to buy in the background instead of these vases on a table in the background. There, thats what I take away from tonites episode.

And Mazel Tov to you Mr. Adler, you so totally are a genius and cheeky as hell.

I think even Todd Oldham lightened up a little bit this week. It looks like next week with the loss of Tom Filicia from the Bravo line up they are whoring out Pier One to this show now. Can't they do better? At least they are out of the land of glass bell peppers for a week.
