Spent most of the day (well from 6 a.m. on) getting dug out, getting neighbors dug out, helping to get this guy from Bulgaria get to work (who I like immensely) but got really frustrated with him because he couldn't understand the concept of not spinning your tires into a rut at all... he called me crazy then when we pushed him out, he took it back, yelled at some guys from the landscaping crew that stood in the middle of the parking lot with their shovels but wouldn't do anything (finally the HOA manager came out and they scattered... then left one of their team mates stuck here when they jetted out in their truck, if it wasn't so sad for that guy it would have really been funny), the second crew was not only much more helpful (they helped to actually
Couldn't get into work today, but whatever. I got much much more accomplished being at home helping my neighbors than sitting at my desk obcessing out email. I called in and that is all that matters today.
Dinner out tonite. I didn't want to go. I actually said that I wasn't going to go. People would be proud of me for saying no, but I was led down the primose path of being promised Thai Chicken Crunch salad from California Pizza Kitchen. Fine for that I will get in my Dads Explorer and go for a ride. Well... I called to see what the wait was before we pulled around to the valet which is right by the entrance to the restaurant and it was told to us to be 25-40 minutes which really means 50-60 minutes. I know how that works, I used to do the 20 minute shave at the hostess stand. So we went to Zaidy's, which was actually just fine.
I actually was hoping for a little peice of cake from Das Meyer (its not just about wedding cake there, they have an exquisite coffee cake that I love that Zaidy's serves, try it... ask for the Green Gables cake, its yummy) but Dad wanted halavah. Ok.
So now Thai Chicken Crunch and no wicked yummy cake?
Whats a girl to do? Come
I do though think that I might have to put some warm compresses on my arms... they are killing me. I need a good shoulder massage too. Very tight and stressy. All I know is I should have grabbed some pastries to go, because now... that case is lookin' mighty delicious.
Happy last night of Chanukah, Good Shabbat and happy weekend. I am out.
