Two Words: Boulder Art Fair Tommorrow and L' Atelier....sweeet

  Tommorrow afternoon: annual trek to the mighty republic of Boulder for the Art Fair. It is one of the few times a year (other than last summer when I would trek up there on a Friday night at 5:30 racing to get to a certain store before it closed at 7pm...dumb) I go up there. Its actually very nice. The family goes up, we shop for art, sometimes we have great finds, sometimes not, but it is ALWAYS most excellent people watching, and a nice opportunity to shop at the Peppercorn. I usually have a list of cookbooks I am intereted in looking at and there are really only two this year and I can get them online or one of them is even at Costco inexpensive, so I may not come home with anything from there. Although I usually always find something... and its a great stop before going into Paper Doll. I only wish I could remember where the store was I went to once (if it still exists) with S the time we went up... I remember they had really great dog accessories, like funky Umbra dog dishes inexpensive and fun purses. Dangit. It was a side street, but I can't remember. Oh well. I will do just fine in the shopping department for sure.

Then dinner ... yummee. L'Atelier. Its my annual birthday dinner or sorta... and I always enjoy. The menu looks a little cheekie this summer so we will see. Salmon and basil for Grandpa it is as he keeps kosher, and the rest is trayfe, but it may be too esoteric for him. We will see. He is a great sport and will go along and try. The menu looks very interesting this summer. Last year the lamb with lavendar brown sauce (ok I just tasted my brother's sauce) was delishious. So how bad can coq ala moonshine (or what ever it was...) be? And it means the annual mirror picture in the bathroom. I say it every year, I miss Pappillon, alot, I never EVER had a bad meal there nor at L'Atelier for the record, I just wish it was closer and we would definately go more than once a year.

I have some personal items that I have to take care of tommorrow before we go up to Boulder. I haven't even made my list! Oy. Better snap to it and make that happen.

Shit. I just forgot I don't have any lox. Better put that on the list first!
