Comedy Central gave me a little birthday present last night and re-aired Trapped in the Closet AND Casa Bonita. Hee. And promptly when I was scrolling through I accidentally cancelled the recording of Trapped in the Closet. Have no fear, its on again. Amen. The durth of Da Cruise is over, the Emmy has spoken its truth. I pray to that g-d for my tv goodness thankyouverymuch.

Its finally cooled off again in the evenings here so I can sit on my couch (which I am actually thinking about replacing since I can't find bedroom furniture that I like, why not redo the living room) which I am starting to hate. I have sat in alot of couches the last couple of weeks. Furniture shopping is a lesson in futility unless you end up where you should have started at Scandanavian Designs to begin with. I can get anything I want with any color leather or material I want practically. I am trying desperately to find bedroom furniture that doesn't scream "you have had that since you were a child" and isn't brown or dark. Oh and isn't tacky. Too bad I can't find anything like
this in white or a really really light wood. (and ps... who knew Levitz was still in business... I seem to remember something about them going out of business here in Colorado due to consumer fraud or something... I don't know, that was shock to see that they are in business. But that is basically what I am looking for. Simple, understated, somewhat modern but plain. Shouldn't be hard should it? Oh my bebees it so totally is. I even thought that Mitchell Gold (and now with Bob Williams would have something...but sorry beds with elaborate (and beautiful design sure) business going on, just is not my style. That was quite a disappointment. How I would have loved to have walked into HW Home and said... here is my credit card I would like the bladieblahblah bed with the hooseitsdoos dresser and nightstands... oh well that so isn't going to happen obviously. The search will continue. Why is it this difficult? This isn't a new quest by the way... its one I have been on for YEARS.

I may have to satisfy myself by ordering a couch instead. The sleeper couch is nice as its always nice to have a guest room but I would rather pay for a hotel room for a guest now than have to sit on something when I know my tush deserves better and lusher and nicer.
