Phone interviews...rule...

I just finished the third phone interview today. And apparantly for another company will be doing one sometime this week. Sure it is less visually important than actually sitting across the desk from someone you may be working for eventually but for the "applicant" "interviewee" "me", its terrific.

In other very vapid news, I have decided that while I have this down time, I am going to spend time cooking and baking and spreading the wealth in some way. The one thing I said when this whole thing went down a month and a half ago (has it only been that long? wow...seems longer...I am not a very patient person) that I was going to make cupcakes, meaning, I was going to learn how to cake decorate. When I was in college I worked at a bakery part time and loved ... no.... adored the cake decorators, they were amazing. One of the guys was so willing to teach me everything and I squandered that away. So. I am going to go over to Kings probably later this afternoon and buy some icing (because I am not in the mood to actually make any), bake some cupcakes and then do my thing and try and make little flowers. Sure I would love to one day actually achieve the beauty of say this from The Cupcake Cafe (I have the book...I was inspired once apparantly) or even beautiful as these... but I suppose I can get my practice started and maybe one day I can have cupcakes with the cult following of Amy Sedaris. I am going to have to go and find someplace to sell them. I am thinking perhaps the next small bar spot at a babihed show. (and bill I know I have to update that picture, its on my list boo...totally on my list of things to do).

I have to search for a really good batter recipie, I am thinking deep dark moisty chocolate cupcakes, in silver little cups with lovely white frosting and some decoration, not quite sure what, that will hit me when it does.

I really should call the guy that owns Java Creek now and see what his requirements are, I know when I was a barista there the ladies that owned it had baked goods coming in from all over the place. Hi um, I am trying to up the creative anty a little bit, could I bring in some baked goods and have you just give them away so I don't eat them all? Gee thanks. That would totally be a weird phone call. I am jumping ahead of myself first though. I need to go buy the icing, make the cupcakes and THEN decide if I should eat them all or not. I mean I could probably even throw in a little protien powder and no one would know the difference. Hmmmm.
