all right...

If I posted that all right more than once you would think I was quoting that Outkast song... but I am not. So not. Snot.

I taped the emmys and seriously just wipped through the entire show in like 20 minutes. I have to remember that when the Oscars (no... The Academy Awards trademark) are on. Sweet Jebus that saved me a lot of time in front of the tv.

What made me the most happy was when Jeffery Wright wasn't detered by the 30 second speech rule and kept going...

In case you missed it:

Delivering a more serious statement was Jeffrey Wright, who collected the supporting actor in a miniseries or movie award for "Angels in America."

Ignoring the orchestra when it tried to play him off, Wright said: "I'd like to say when I originally took this journey with this piece, AIDS affected mainly gay men. Now the disease affects African Americans in extraordinary numbers. Sub-Saharan Africa is being devastated by this disease, so I hope that in accepting this I might be inspiration to those actors who want to tell those stories and keep those realities and struggles alive in the public dialogue."

But I loved Elaine Stritch... they censored "jesus"... honey they censored Jesus. Dennis Franz can say "ass" in a taped segment but Ms. Stritch gets her Jesus taken away from her? I don't get it.

I think Al Pacino went over 30 seconds, but who is going to tell him he needs to leave? As with Meryl Streep.

I didn't get the "farewell to the tv shows of the past" thing. Yes Friends is over. Fraiser too. And I will admit it was nice to see a parting shot of Just Shoot Me because one of my three not so secret celebrity Crushs was on that for a while (ok two episodes), but really... seriously.... Murphy Brown? Cheers? I am surprised there wasn't shots from MASH and the group hug from the Mary Tyler Moore Show. And where was Northern Exposure? Huh? That show was on the air for 9 seasons. That just was wrong. People loved it. Still do. I am just glad that Arrested Development won (agian with the celebrity crush thing.. there is a theme with the same actor... you try and figure it out. Ok I will give you a hint his name starts with a "D"avid and ends with a "C"ross.)

But the highlight... Michael Imperioli, Drea Mateo, the Sopranos win and of course that afformentioned Arrested Development win. I bet Fox sure is pysched they didn't cancel that show! Me too thankyouvery much. (and I did take a picture of said secret celebrity crush -see above- on the tv). I am a dork.
