on the go since 8 a.m. and home...gladly

Went to the Cherry Creek Arts Festival after a quick blunch. I think we walked the whole thing in about an hour. What I found the most interesting was the fact that all of the mixed media things looked exactly the same to me... a lot like Lynn Whipple's work...lots of vintage photographs worked into frames with writing or painting or metal work surrounding them. I hate to say this, but obviously I am going to..., very brown, very not interesting and very uninspired. There wasn't a single peice of art that even spoke to me and said, here look at me twice even though you can't afford me. Ok Bill Amundson's line drawings would have if I could have gotten close enough, since he clearly is amusing as hell, but I worked with him and know how his mind works (a little). But I have seen his work before so not like there would have been anything new.

Had a little lunch and went to a Jewelry show. Uninspired there too. Sure I bought some stuff, but nothing fabulous and at a greater than thou discount or deal. My ring lady was there this time and I didn't even get to do the traditional latte run with Dad because the Loud Family was with us and it was just miserable.

Dinner at the housesitting house which really was chips and salsa and a TaB but it totally hit the spot then to Fireworks, checked my voice mail (no calls for a party I thought I would get a call for, which sadly enough is a really good thing since I am freakin' exhausted), and came home. Which is were I plan on staying.

The boy upstairs is nice and quiet still. I think he may just work out. Its still relatively quiet upstairs, no blaring thumping stereo or booming tv. And I think if I am really nice, I may just be able to go upstairs and play foos ball with them... if I had rollerskates it would be just like skate city. I have a little mirror ball.

Another weekend day! I think I will by tommorrow just be relaxed enough. It will be good.
