First snow day of the year! I think there was like two inches on the lawn this morning when I went out. Nice big fluffy white wet snow. I love it. Branch busting snow.

I have pretty much rearranged the fireplace logs (its gas so they are cement) which finally got the pilot light to stay lit which is magical. It doesn't look as good but the fire has stayed on. I knew that the arrangement of the logs was a problem causing it to stay lit for about 10 minutes and then poof it would go out. Now the fire is getting the oxygen it needs. It is purely for looks as it doesn't really throw much actual heat, but it is a pleasure to have it on. It was one of my "have to haves" when I was looking for a house, its a pleasure to have at my disposal. So as aesthetic as it may be I still love it. If someone wants to come over and roast marshmallows, the fire place is "on".

I am watching Running with Scissors. I still am not all impressed with this story. Didn't enjoy the book at all, not so much loving the movie. Sorry Augusten Burroughs. I loved LOVED "Sellavision" but not much else. Sorry. Although as always Annette Benning is amazing. Jill Clayburg made me want to cry when she gave that kid the book.

I have cleaned up my starred reader items and will work on actually cleaning the house here in a little bit. I don't anticipate leaving at all for the rest of the evening which is great. Which means no jewelry shopping until later this week I suppose.
