guess I am kinda live blogging the Emmy's but on a delay since Steevoh started an hour before I actually did...

I am watching the Emmy's and honestly... I love The Piv but I am really more than just a little disappointed why he has to be such a shlepper and NOT FRIKKIN SHAVE.

Stewie was pretty reserved I have to say, pretty funny Family Guy is opening the Emmy's since wasn't it cancelled? I am glad that it isn't by the way.

I am though kind of enjoying this show. OK I am really enjoying this show.

I don't understand what Thomas Hayden Church was talking about his pants not fitting... oh wait... maybe I do... the whole load in pants thing maybe?

Good for Katherine Heigl... you tell that announcer how it goes baby. But your Mom's cut away was probably my favorite moment of the show so far.

No wait, seeing James Ganfolfini smiling made my freakin night, but Michael Imperiolli really should have brushed his hair. Maybe my secret crush Jeremy and Michael could stop my house after the show and I will really mess them up stylewise..rwar.

Does anyone get the irony of Alex Baldwin awarding an award for Tony Bennett's special? Even if he totally fumbled his line, I still love him.

Of course they have a big beautiful black woman introduce Roots, what no Oprah? Not that Dana doesn't have power but Oprah would have been better since it was based on a book, I mean that really is what Oprah does... don't sue me Oprah. RIP Ben Vereen by the way. I worked with LaVar Burton on two episodes of Star Trek when I was in LA. He was nice. WHAT? Ben Vereen is alive? WHAT? Seriously I though he died. Now I am really glad I am watching this. What is he wearing in his ears? Holy all that really is freakin' me out. I watch Men in Trees just for John Amos by the way, my secret is out.

What is up with Ryan Secrests tie? Justin really doesn't get a seat because he is blogging from the press room, just so you know.

Robert DuVall kinda rambles but he is amazing, I didn't watch his show.

If Eli Wallach doesn't win I am going to really freak out because he played true. Uh doesn't this get awarded? OH I get it Leslie Carron won so she introduces the next award, this is very confusing. She was very enthusiastic about the awarding the episode where Chrissie dies in The Sopranos...I miss the Sopranos. What did that guy just say in a foriegn langauge? (the closed captioners didn't get it either). (*** edited to add: so it really wasn't that interesting but sweet none the less ***) I am going to think he said, "I am happy to be here and thank you all for this amazing award". Oh End the War now maybe? You think The Sopranos is going to win Best Director? Was there anyone else nominated? What about the Best Guest Actor in a Drama? Seriously are we going to see that awarded? David Chase isn't going to give anything away. Remember David Chase produced and wrote Northern Exposure. Still no announcement of Guest? I am super confused and it isn't posted anywhere... wait I am going to rewind this and see if I missed something. No. I didn't miss anything. Ok..thank you Entertainment Weekly... Christian Clemenson from Boston Legal won. I am just a little more than disappointed.

The Macy's ad makes you believe that they have a nice selection don't they...? Not here they don't. Sean Jean is obnoxious. Sean John is not sexy. I suspect we will be subjected to that ad again at least a couple more times. But it is nice to see Kenneth Cole is real.

I am still reeling that Eli Wallach didn't win that Emmy. Damnit.

I think The Office is perhaps the most brillant thing on tv and of course Jon Stewart won..by the way, I love the Colbert Report but seriously you think Jon Stewart would let that happen? And the man love smile was soooooo nice. This is a nice little funny thing. Which is better than a song and dance performance any day.

Tony Bennett's son sounds just like him. They almost played the man off himself... and all he does is introduce his wife? Uh... yeah. I guess if you are 80 you get to be proud of having a MILF.

Marcia Cross' dress is not good. Its droopie.

PS just so you know, Judy Davis won for her portrayal of Judy Garland, not for The Starter Wife which was craptastic and basically Judy Garland. Hey I watched it I am not ashamed, but that was a Judy Garland homage.

Its Chairman Time... I like his silver tie.

Glenn Close looks amazing. I didn't see anything in this catagory they are awarding. I am snacking on homemade bean dip with tzimmes and garlic pita chips.

Yay.. Jersey Boys. This is an amazing production, the Broadway show, not particullary these guys because it isn't even the origianal cast which is a drag. It would be cool to not hear them turn off their microphones and if Frankie Vallie actually came out. Kinda like Eli Wallach not winning, kinda disppointing. But look at how great that cast looks! I miss that show.

I love that Helen Mirren won. Her husband gave me my first break by being supportive of my choice to look into script supervision. I owe him the most greatest thank you, and I am thrilled his wife wins awards and he does too. Remember he directed Ray.

Thank you Lewis Black. I wish he would have railed on burn ins... those totally suck. AMEN on showing the credit roll. I love his balls. Lewis Black kicks so much ass. Ryan does not.

MiniSeries Directing... meh. But its Helen Mirren that he directed. See above what I would have have said. PS I love the British.

Writing award... Prime Suspect... see above. Uh isn't it sad that the only thing us American's could bring to the table was Westerns (not that there is anything wrong with them) and The Starter Wife (which again was uh... ok....)

I wonder if the Emmy's threw Kanye a bone since the MTv didn't. Commercials, time to get a glass of water. The pita chips have made me thirsty.

Hey its my friend Tom! Tipper does NOT look good. Her husband has erased her bad acts of parental warnings remember that? Please don't forget. She is a right wing Christian nut job. Her husband bless his heart seems a touch more libral which is amazing. I want him to run again. I voted for him.

Joely Fisher's Mom is Connie Stevens and she looks sooooo much like her. And her shoes WERE AMAZING. Were they surprised really that Tony Bennett was going to win? And he is amazing for thanking his sponsor, I mean I loves me the Target too Tony, now even more. Didn't he just seem sooooo really happy? And I love that he went back to his seat. No press for the Tony.

Teri Hatcher's not very pretty. Stanley Tucci and Elaine Stritch are so great. Elaine Strich is so funny. Hasn't Ugly Betty been on more than a year?

The Iphone plug? Not necessary. Oh... its a shout out to technology. I get it. And of course they don't actually show any one with real gems on. Yay the Office.

I am going to skip the reality show awards because I don't care unless Ryan Secrest wears the matador outfit all the time. Wayne Brady is not so funny in this show. Kayne can't act and shouldn't have worn tennis shoes. Tacky. This is dumb I am fast forwarding. No I am glad I didn't because I would have missed Rainn Wilson. "I never win" hah. Amazing Race..meh. Don't watch it don't care. Do they have to make 500 statues for all these people geez, there are more of them than the entire Sopranos cast. Hey Jerry Bruckhiemer... I appreciate your show, but the other one... C.S.I.

Oh these are the Green Emmy's. I missed that announcement. I am so glad that Colbert and Jon Stewart cleared that up.

Tony Shaloub was robbed. No just kidding Ricky Gervais is deserving. And Steve Carrel is the funniest guy on the planet to me. See I loves me the office.

Hugh Laurie could read me the phonebook. I love each of the actresses in this Actress in a Drama category. Sally Field looks amazing and her point about the war and mothers and sons coming home. And a cut away? Let her say that if there were were more mothers taken seriously there would be no goddamned war... there I will say it.

Debra Messing is there for the guest basket. Best Actress Comedy, America Ferrara. As it should be. I mean the show really is more than a comedy actually. It breaks some barriers. Mary Louise Parker looked really pissed.

Jimmy Smits is hot. Kate Walsh's hair went bad.

Actor in a Drama. Of course, Denis Leary would not win but who would have thought that the James it went to was James Spader and not Gandolfini? That is seriously wrong. I like him and he's funny but seriously I don't get it at all.

I kind of want to watch Back to You because I like Kelsey Grammner. Comedy Series. YAY on 30 Rock. I can't say its better than The Office though. But I loves Tina Fey. And I appreciate Judah Freidlander not wearing a trucker hat.

Helen Mirren again. I am really the lucky girl tonite. I love her presentation style. I am going to do the same thing if I EVER get to do that. And it only ran 11 minutes over. And the Sopranos should have won, I am glad it did.

Glad to share the last 3 hours and 15 minutes technically but really 2 hours and 15 or so because I didn't watch the 40 Macy's commercials. Have a good night.
