Just came back from running some errands, one which included going to the Kwik-E Mart on Broadway. Best promotion ever, but such a joke. This place was a mad house. People milling about not buying anything, crowded, no-branded merchandise in stock...clearly a disappointment for me. But the cashier was deliciously upbeat about the whole thing. She said people will wait until 2 a.m. when they stock to grab up all the stuff the second they put it out. Silly. People have taken pictures of stores that they have been in and they are much better than anything I could have or wanted to take.

I bought my Diet Pepsi Max... it has Ginseng in it.... and was on my merry little way.

I am still very amused by the promotion, the concept is really well executed and it did it's job, it created MASSIVE buzz. And coming from someone in the marketing and promotion field I have to say I am impressed.

Headed to Sunflower and got my groceries for the weekend. One lady came up to me and offered me 10 bucks for my Trader Joes bag. Really? Seriously? Here just take it,I say... it is a cool looking bag by the way. Good thing I bought three when I was in Phoenix. And good thing I have a day trip to Henderson Nevada, where there is a store and I can stock up on another on the way to the airport. I am so renting a car so I can do that.

I was on my way home and decided that now I needed some gum because all they have at Sunflower is the organic stuff that goes really hard and is impossible to chew for more than five minutes. I stop at the 7-11 on Leetsdale and Monaco and wouldn't you know it... Krusty-Os and Buzz Cola are in the house. Sweet. The guy in line I don't think was as amused as I was, but the guy behind the counter said I looked happy.

Its the weekend, I knocked four things off my list today, I am home before 10, I have my movie cross promotion junk, I have some gum, I guess I am.
