I just saw an ad for personalized Hershey Kisses(tm) and seriously, while it is a cute idea, I have to say ... I did that. Twice. When I was in BBYO in High School (which was a while ago, I am just saying') and I was running for MIT Mom (a trainer of sorts for new recruits of sorts) my friend at the time and I wanted to Lobby the group and I decided that I would do something fun and tasty, now it would be a Glick-like cupcake, but I literally bough 5 bags of kisses and replaced each little flag in each kiss with our slogan. Then resealed the bag. It was awesome. Then our dog methodically grabbed each of the bags, opened them, unwrapped the kisses and ate most of them when we were at my Grandma's for Shabbas dinner. Baby, our dog was fine actually. The day before the election when we were going to use them. Of course, we went to the store and I started all over again.
I don't think we won the election actually. No wait we did.
So Hershey's is a little behind the 8-ball on this one, a good idea, whose time has hit the conventional market. Sorta, they don't actually personalize each flag, just a big one. Cool to see though.
This website that HBO put together is amazing. I have spent most of the evening since I came home from family, watching it. Brilliant use of flash. I want to learn how to work with flash because of sites like this. It does also make me want to watch the the show, when it airs...I thought it was airing in the fall, but I am glad that I checked because it is On Demand...excellent. It looks much more interesting and intelligent than what is on the air right now. Valentine, don't you worry... I got you covered, this looks like something you will love. The website is being bombarded and might be slow, but it hasn't been for me. Its really cool. Really, really, and the story lines of the characters/what you are looking at are all spelled out somewhere on the site, but I don't want to ruin it.
I am also enjoying USA's Burn Notice. It isn't brilliant tv, but it is in fact actually pretty decent tv. Amusing and entertaining. And the clothes/costumes are fantastic. The brother of Jared from the Pretender doesn't a really kick ass job, but Sharon Gless's wig is awful.
Happy Birthday to my Bro. I miss him today. This is the first birthday short of when he was out of the country a couple of times he hasn't been here in Denver for his birthday. Its really kind of weird for me. I wish him the best birthday ever.
