I am sitting on my couch, catching up on my reader and The Clash is on the tv. Not much could be better. It took over an hour reconfiguring my modem to connect to the router and my wireless is wide open because I can't lock it down...I am waiting patiently for a tech to call me back. Nightmare. But honestly I can't be more happy. I caught up on Grey's Anatomy from last night (Steevoh was just a little jacked up last night and we had our first fight. He wanted to record the repeat of CSI for me and meanwhile, Grey's was almost all over and it was annoying...but thank goodness for the web and ABC for broadcasting it).

Found out a long time acquaintance died yesterday. It only sucks because really she was very loved and was so neat and regardless alcohol was more important to her and likely what killed her. I think of her often anytime I go and fill my gas tank or give someone promotional goodies so she has stuck with me in a nice way but I can't tell you the last time I actually talked to her.

And that is sad and wrong.

Took personal time off this afternoon,everyone else from the department went to a picnic but I just wasn't in the mood and sitting out in the sun isn't really my idea of fun. So my pale pallor is hunkered down watching tv on the laptop, music playing on the tv and relaxing into the weekend. At some point I will have another funeral to go to for yet another contemporary who died because of addiction issues (there but for the grace of gawd go I, seriously)so best to relax know while I can.
