Today has been an exercise in staying inside.
Wednesday it was nearly 60 degrees outside and this morning it was -6 degrees.
Cute stuff on sale at iomoi.com but their shipping is outrageous. Cute envelopes and 50 for $10.00 isn't too bad, but $8.50 for shipping... uh no thank you very much. So not for nothing I did get some cute ideas for mailing and shipping return labels. Played around and made some on my own since they are a little pricey on their labels. I have a color printer and labels why not do something less expensive, the supplies basically have been paid for. Why not? So spent some time playing around and did that today in addition to cleaning, reading magazines, drinking tea and cleaning my kitchen.
I also reupped my book club subscription at McSweeneys. I wasn't going to, but realized, they are too pretty and it is a smokin' good deal. And I worked a boatload of overtime this past week which will more that pay for the subscription. Besides they have been promising me Arboretum for over a year and I will be damned if I don't get it. It is why I joined in the first place. I think McSweeneys is brilliant and there isn't enough time in the day to actually read what I get, but they are amazing to have. They aren't reading at the gym books at all (not that I have gone since I joined 10 days ago, but I am planning tommorrow... promise, if only to go and sit upstairs on the bike for a half an hour... I am going to go) but it might get me to read more which is the point in the first place.
Tommorrow (before the gym...see how I did that?) I am going to finish baking. I started a loaf of bread today, I need to bake a cake since I have all the fixings available in my newly organized pantry, and I need to make my dad some gingerbread.
I was going to try and go to Fancy Tiger tomorrow afternoon for the crochet class but I didn't get my act together in time to register and get motivated. See I think honestly I want to knit. I tried crochet, I made a scarf, it isn't all that hard, but knitting is what I really think I want to tackle. I just need to decide because I am going to go into it full on, by a boat load of yarn and stuff and want to finish the project. No more dangling things out there for me this year. So I didn't make up my mind and didn't register. I love that they are in JF's old jewelry store. Nice that the mohel's store is being used for something kick ass.
Ok time to hunker in, either watch Magnolia or some other things Steevoh has for me. But its time for tv.
