Dipping into the treat jar...

This can mean only one thing... Herschel is feeling better. Which means I spent most of the evening cleaning, which means I had a happy and productive night at home. Which means .... niiiiice.

I caught up on a little tv, meaning... I was watching stuff from the last couple of days I didn't get to. Not the stuff from weeks ago mind you... I still haven't seen any of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (can't tell you if I ever will get to it or not). But sadly, Isaac you are officially off my dvr. I don't like the new format one bit, I don't like the weekly nature of the show now, you sadly peanut... lost your spark. Not only has your line at Target gotten boring but the show? This is an image of me fast forwarding through both new episodes. Dullsville. Sorry E! made you tone it down and put you on a leash... shouldn't have touched Scarlett's girls. Thats all I am sayin'. Took The Nine off too. I am about to take Desperate Housewives off too. I can watch online which is fine should I want to (and thank you ABC for airing the season of shows. Nice move. Kudos.) But I don't think that I will watch the Nine. I didn't really dig any of the characters to be honest and I am over it. I can though decide about Ugly Betty which everyone seems to love. I mean it is Vanessa Williams and I have a special place in my heart for her... I was in Tel Aviv when the Penthouse came out and no one else would buy it, so I marched into the Dan Hotel...went into the gift shop... tried to pay with phone tokens (seriously... I mean I was only 16 buying Penthouse) then paid with real money. Good times.

I also stopped drinking the Oprah Kool-Aid. Four episodes that is all that took. Phew.

Job front? Talked to the director of my department. Told the Director about the job offer, someone was spreading rumours about my old boss offering me the job, which was true, but what wasn't is that I was going to take it. I wanted the Director to know it wasn't true. The director.... largely unfased. But honestly now the truth is out there and that is all I needed. And seriously, if anyone is looking for a great boss, and looking for a great job... and you have some great skills, I know where you can send your resume.

I am backlogged on so much right now I don't even know which pile to start on, so I am not. Simple as that. I have so much reading to do and I just can't delve into it. I have a proposal that I desperately need to work on but can't wrap my mind around what I want to focus on primarily. And the sound of The Tube (channel 248 for those in Denver with digital cable) is making me totally unable to focus. I only wish I could have it playing at my desk all day long. It would be grand.

Enough sidetracking for me. I am going to say this one thing... I was reading this other blog by a gal from Denver who largly amused me for the most part until the other day. I was taken aback by her concise take on the election and the referendum issues facing Denver and Colorado. We couldn't have differed more in our opinions. It shook me up a little bit. From her initial posts I have read, thought she clearly was a Democrat or at least oh say somewhat liberal. Nope. Not at all. She is still funny though, but I hate to say this... alot funnier because she is so very very wrong about some stuff. Oh by the way... democrat, libral and planning to vote that way (if I ever get my damned ballot in the mail since I am NOT going to go and stand in some line for hours because the Denver Election Commission has disbanded Polling Places, which is crap). Hope that doesn't shake you in your boots too much. Posted by Picasa
