The weather here has cooled off somewhat. I hate to brag because I know that there are people out there (some who read this here blog) who are sitting in their skivvies shvitzing as they read, but for me... if its under 90 degrees, I am kvellin'.

This morning after the post morning walk, came back and decided that I am cleaning the house. Its been months since I organized, fixed some little things that needed to be fixed and just generally do some house work. I feel honestly like in the last two hours I have accomplished more than I orginally anticipated.

I haven't cooked or much less baked in over a year at this point, so boxed up (four boxes worth by the way) almost all of my cookbooks to take to storage, cleaned up the kitchen and took stock of what I have so I can keep from buying anything basically.

All with the cranking tunes of my ipod on my new speaker system in the living room. I never used the other one that I had because I was lazy and would have to walk across the room if a song on the random shuffle played that I didn't particularly like (and I know that is my issue since the use of an ipod generally suggests that I wouldn't necessarily EVER have that problem, but sometimes you just aren't in the mood for "smells like teen spirit" by Moog Cookbook... ok I always am, that is just an example), this little baby has a remote. Which is lovely. I have obcessed over a new ipod speaker system and wanted one that has all these features. I thank Memorex for figuring it out and making one that was not $300.00. And honestly it does sound really nice.

Family is in town until this evening. Maybe at that point when they leave for their respective coasts and stuff things can calm down a little bit. Nerves are frayed, emotions are running high and mania has crept in a little bit. I am really enjoying being at home alone this morning to be sure. Ok I got some more cleaning to do and things to accomplish before I am summoned to the party (so to say).
