Ah the power of the bcc

So yesterday I recieved an email from
McSweeney's. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on how one looks at it the sender (poor thing) forgot to put the email addresses into the bcc form of her email program and the email blast went out to 492 people (I didn't count, someone else did) about Issues 1, 2 and 3 and how there is a delay in printing (which doesn't surprise nor astound yet... they still have had my flippin' 45 bucks for three months... not fair... but they are wonderful, so I won't kvetch). Some people were completely bent out of shape about it, but I have to say, I think it has been so brilliantly amusing seeing some of the responces that have come around. I wanted to post a haiku to the group, but didn't want to offend anyone, so better to air on the side of caution for sure.

I wrote the haiku while I was walking Herschel and waiting for the furniture delivery guys to eventually show up. It was better than watching CNN.

Tonite I am going to try and get through some dvr'd tv since I am home early enough to actually watch some tv and relax and figure out what will go in the drawers and what won't. I love my new furniture. And phooey on Jeff from Frieght Logistics (yeah you heard me, naming me some names) and his assholeish behaviour. He stressed me out for no other reason than he didn't want to do what the company that hired him to do. I would have liked a couple days before the delivery to do this, but oh well, I will do it tonite and tommorrow night possibly. I have moved the dvr into my bedroom so I will be able to catch up on tv. Saved data on hard drives rules.

I should just break down and order another one. But the rent on the sucker is crazy and then I would record double the programs and that is just meshugginah thinkin' right there.

When Do We Eat is out on DVD yesterday. Surprisingly (sha) it wasn't at Costco tonite when I looked. I will have to check with Borders and plan to have it delivered when there is a coupon and I can get a discount. Coupons are good. And the "3 for 2" list right now is rollicking good, but I have to get through some books before I go nuts again.

Heard some information today about something that I was almost stuck with in early April and am THRILLED, absolutely THRILLED it didn't happen. The possibility was dangling in front of me but just heard some information that leads me to believe that I have a nice sence of intuition and sometimes (not always) I am right and am glad that I didn't go against it. Posted by Picasa
