Stamp Out Hunger

So I am surfing the internet today whilest at work....shhhh... I was bored. And I was thinking lets just randomly hit a link in some website that I was in and oila! I came across....Stamp Out Hunger. Basically you either take canned food goods to your local post office or leave them for your delivery postal person and then it is distributed to food pantrys in your community. Easy peasy, you have no excuse. You know you bought a can of peaches or pears or black beans or (cough cough) one too many (or 6...cough cough) cans of corn that are taking up precious pantry space, put them in a bag and follow the instructions on the site. It's a mitzvah, tsdukah and all that... and its really just a nice thing to do for those less fortunate. And really you don't have to take the food anyfurther than your mail box.

So remember way back when, when I started or tried to start >Running With Scissors? Well I never actually did finish the book. I got really depressed while I was reading it. I loved Sellevision and was hoping for more of the same, but was totally freaked out by the crazy of Running with Scissors. Sure the movie may be great, I love Annette Benning and want her haircut I think, but whoa nelly... difficult book to read. So... my point. I was going through email and I got a link to an Excerpt from the new book... Possible Side Effects. And it seems funny enough and not freakishly depressing to me that I may go and buy it and give him another chance.

OH MA GAWDUH... seriously, what the bejebus are the girls doing up there? These new gals living in the condo above me are bowling or chasing something around up there and loud... dear lord are they stompy. I may have to have a little chat. This cannot go on... I mean the chandalier by my bed is flippin' moving.

Ok back to the literary commentary. Anyhoo... so I am thinking I will either love the book or hate it but everytime Herschel breaks out his cow and it makes the "moo" sound, I will about pee my pants with glee knowing that I am not the only one that finds it completely enchanting. I also have a newfound respect because he wrote a love story to his puppies, and that is sweet.
