Longer Days Shorter Nights

I love that it is staying lighter out longer. Winter absolutely sucks my soul. I am though tired when I wake up because I can't get to sleep before midnight. You would think that I would be sitting up watching tv but no... be proud... I have been reading actually. I have been sitting outside on my patio, reading. I bought some cushions for what was semi-comfortable chairs that are now really comfortable. I will go outside with a cup of hot tea, I discovered Lipton is now making a roobios tea with strawberry and passion fruit (no link as they haven't updated their website since it looks like March maybe) that is really very good. So its a nice little treat at about 7 p.m. if I can and am home.

Tonite is stimulant free, white tea and peach which is also very good. I will add a little orange blossom honey and while it is too late to sit and read outside, I will sit and chill outside.

Sephora was a slight disappointment. Not only was it cloyingly crowded, but the product line seemed really only barely second rate. Sure they had Nars and Cargo, but so does Nordstrom. The thrill with Sephora was supposed to be about getting access to product lines you couldn't get normally. I got rid of my gift certificates (which I am totally thankful for, don't get me wrong, it was fun to shop and not have to worry about how much that eyeliner from Smashbox was going to cost) and remembered one thing that I do really like about Sephora, their lipsticks. So good. I only got one because really it was way too crowded to deal with actually trying to try on anything. And the women in that store shopping were bitches. Holy cow. I was standing by the Smashbox display and looking at two eyeshadows and this woman actually had the nerve to tell me to move because she wanted to not have to look around me. Seriously, let me grab my JPEG and ENVY and I am on my way, I just need a sec to read the display honey. I was in the store maybe 20 minutes. Sure it was a mistake to go that night, I recognize. I just will wait to buy or go back until they open in Park Meadows. Or just go to Nordstrom. Or silly me, just use what I have already and fill in the holes with items from Ulta, they have almost the same things anyways and you get points and discounts and extra schwag and it is far less pretencious. But I do like the lipsticks that Sephora has under their line and name, so that was totally worth it.

Time to go and enjoy the remains of the sun in the sky and the quiet calm in the air. It is at its most quiet around here right about now. So very nice. Posted by Picasa
