I have been kinda busy outside of the computer universe lately. The new job is going well. It is in its infancy so right now it is a little on the boring side, but that is the way it goes, once I prove that I can handle the job I am sure that it won't be anymore. Give it a little time.
I am trying my best to stay off the www and surfing the net while I am at work since I don't want to look like a complete slacker. And I do know that there is a balance but sometime I just have to read my Sopranos wrap up on Television With Out Pity. Sorry it just has to be done.
I am able to come home everyday for lunch which is like a little 45 minute magical vacation. Its terrific and really nice to be able to do. No downtown traffic, no shlep to find parking, none of that. But I am working for major big corporation and there is alot of stuff to learn and remember (like everything has a log on and password and that they aren't all necessarily going to be able to be the same).
Friends got married on Saturday. It was a nice wedding and reception. I am happy for them and wish them the best for sure.
Time to put on the heels and hose and get ready for the day of office-betty-dom and answering phones and distribution of mail and paper! Happy day y'all.
OH!!! and before I forget... one site that I did come along while I was sneaking some time out there on the internet was...Jonathan Fong Style, I love this idea. LOVE IT! I am a terrible painter and even though I have put tape down to prevent spillage and bursts of brushing crazyiness, I still have messed things up. So painting my cabinets is completely out of the question. I also can't afford new cabinets either. But this idea totally kicks major amounts of ass. And he seems like I a super nice guy as well. Plus the puppy is really cute.
His ideas seem really creative and different and very inspiring. Good to have found a site that made me think that way.
OH!!! And also.... totally going gonzo for The Oblongs. I never saw it on the WB. In fact I don't ever even remember hearing about it, and am now catching up with it on TBS. I was having Steevoh catch Mr. Show and The Oblongs is on before it so I thought, what the hell. And its actually rather subversive. Sorry it didn't last very long because I really like the sence of humor. Why did I not know about this when it was on before? Odd.
