Just another mishugena lady in the Fine Dress Department.

I was at Foleys today... again... looking for a dress for this party/reception/ketuba signing/whatever soiree' that I am going to in July... (think about it Bro... in less than TWO FREAKIN WEEKS....YIKES and YAY!!!!) since the prom season is wrapping up I thought I might come across something. There was this maybe 16 year old girl in the department completely melting down about the fact that she wasn't finding a dress that she likes. I felt so badly for her. Her mother wasn't being very supportive and she kept looking at me very embarrassed that she was crying.

Oh honey... I feel your pain. I really do. I wanted to go up to her and give her a hug. Because I too, am not finding anything. I wanted to say to her, you at least my darling have a date to your party! I am going to be the shlepper without a date. Count your blessings. Then I just would have been the pathetic old crazy lady talking to her in the dress department of Foleys so I decided against it.

I miss Joslins. I miss Montaldos. I miss Neusteters. Instead its all chains and department stores with really crappy selections. I suppose my next stop is going to be Max in Cherry Creek tommorrow. Great. Just what I want to do... fall in love with a 500 dollar Galliano dress.

I kinda miss Cinderella City too. I really liked that mall. We used to get my Dad the coolest but lamest magic tricks for Father's Day downstairs in Cinderally. AND they had this record store where you could totally hang out in and no one cared. And... if I remember correctly you could actually go to the Swiss Colony store and they would let you try the candy. No that was Sids in U-Hills. OH MA GAW I totally now remember Noah's in Tamarac Square too. They had these crazy bins of dried fruit and bulk candy. It was awesome. They did replace the fountain with a carosel which was lame in Cinderella City by the way. Nothing remains at all of what I am recalling by the way...The things that I remember...oy, vey.

I have been crabby most of the day. Woke up that way actually which is fairly shocking as I never actually wake up pissy. But today... just did. I suppose I am allowed one of those days every now and again.

Off to get all set up for some late night tv, I may actually go run a late night errands in the sad hopes for guh... its after 10. I am not even going to go there. ... nevermind.
