Consumerism, Tv Ads and Pop Culture... Oh My

Sometimes I love Target. Sometimes I reallllllly love Target. I don't know if you have seen their latest ad campaign. NO I am not talking about the _____ rockin' Christmas Caroling, no I am talking about "wake up call". Now I am a Pop Culture dork, I will freeley admit it. But the idea of having Ice - T calling me to remind me to go spend money at Target???? Now that totally rules my school babies. I am actually considering registering. Just to hear the recording. The reality? This allows Target to have my number so they can now telemarket me, even though it says it is only to deliver the "wake up call" I seriously question it. There are three pages of privacy policies. Color me a skeptic. A skeptic that seriously is considering filling out the information with my cell phone number.

It really is a great idea. And the ads are great, you can watch them on the site

And huzah to my favorite Detective next to Munch on SVU for taking a job that probably pays the hell out of him.

I mean really...its Ice Fricken T man. Body Count. South Central Hell A. Lollapalooza Uno. Scarey-ist interview I ever had to do for Teletunes. He was totally that intense it actually frightened me. Ice T. And yes there is Cheech Marin and sure that is funny because really... its Cheech. But Ice T? That is crazy. There is some other options... cat lady...singing child...heidi klum... rooster.

In other news...the trifecta of crappy things happened and hopefully we can all recover from the stupid ass thug and thief behaviour and learn that generally a small percentage of people are good and honest, but really its the other 99.9% that suck. Don't look away from your things... unless you really don't like 'em because someone will want them and take them.

Nervous to take my puppy to the vet. He is getting his teeth cleaned and they put the pupsters under general anesthesia to do it. It needs to be done but I am nervous as all get out. He will be fine, I know this, but still really worried.

Happy Turkey Day.
