So hey Zoe... Its a fantasticly lovely fall / autumnal night what did you do? Wellllllll.... let me tell ya. I went grocery shopping. Wee. I was almost out of good food which would have meant suffering through the pantry food which is noodles and sauce and that just will not do. So I made my list, checked it twice and off I went.
I first stopped off at the Tattered Cover and bought The Future Dictionary of America, since I have wanted it since its publication, it is a fundraiser and I need something quality and interesting to read.
I then dropped off an engagement gift to a couple that I like very much. I don't know them very well but I do like them and they have been good to me and deserve nice things. I am not some big spender but it is a nice thing that they found each other, that they are engaged and they deserve a present.
My other motivation for going wasn't there, but that is ok. I am not too worried. Things have a huge habit of working out just the way that they are supposed to. And I did get to do my 1997 happy dance which is so totally a good thing.
Then went to the market. It was great. There was this guy at the front of the store who when I ran out to my car to get my wallet (which I left on my front car seat...doh) was creepishly friendly but harmless. But there was NO obnoxious family situations (meaning screaming kids), NO having to deal with people in the aisles and the best part is that they were totally playing new wave hits of the late 80's, it was almost like being at Thirsty's but I didn't have a stolen pitcher of beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. Seriously... I couldn't have been happier putting olives and tomato juice and spinich in my cart than to New Order and Love and Rockets. It was fab. The only song that was missing the Boys Don't Cry song.
The bonus points for the night though, and seriously I couldn't be more unbelieveably excited.... apparantly they are stocking TaB full time now and in 12 packs. Weeee! Caffiene and Saccharin I heart you. Lovely pink can you warm my heart. 12 cans at a time I am in heaven.
I have no serious work obligations tommorrow and believe me when I say if I can leave the office early I am so gunna. Start my Shabbat early, my weekend will be on a roll and I will have quite the good cookin' happening.
I am baking cookies right now, my neighbor upstairs is cooking something that smells fantastic and my house is just so delightful I am glad that I am here. Now if Shrug would only get off his ass and get into gear things would be fantastic. Due time. Due time.
Haircut Saturday morning. Dog sitting this weekend. Baking on Sunday. A fridge full of TaB. Dance of Joy. Pleanty of Taped Tv. Warm Puppy. Great job accomplishments today. Two lunch dates in the next five days. Its all so unbelievably good I want to pinch myself and make sure it's real.
