I couldn't help myself. I really couldn't. I have a nice set of Global Knives that I adore and use every day. But seriously... I so needed this set of knives, I had to make the purchase. Not only are they color coded for use, they are steelable (meaning they can be sharpened if they go dull) which pleases me no end. Plus they are absolutely gorgeous.

How did I find such a thing? Oh at my Mom's house. She bought them too.

I may not have a guy to cook for, which is fine because they suck, and not in a nice way, but I will have pretty knives to cook for myself dangit.

Dinner was nice for my Grandmother's birthday. The waitress was absolutely horrible. I am so picky because I used to do it and liked it. I miss being a waitress alot actually. I love my job now more, don't get me wrong because it is the bees knees, but there is something about waiting tables that I miss. I don't miss the booze and stuff but I do miss the being nice to strangers, making their meal enjoyable, making sure they have a good time. This waitress was none of those things.

Watched the lunar eclipse, which was really pretty amazing. Thought about how five hundred years ago, people thought it was a sign of the apolocolypse and how now I can talk about it, find pictures of it and all from the comfort of my computer. Pretty damn amazing times we live in I think.

Got almost all my errands done tonite. Two I didn't. I need a green sheet for my halloween costume (well one of them) and didn't make it to Joanne's to get the material. The other being I needed to get carrot juice and didn't make it to Whole Foods. But I do have 150 lightbulbs to take to the site tommorrow morning so I can do it then. Oh... and I didn't get enough time today to get the oil changed in the car. But that I can do tommorrow too.

But the Red Sox won the Penant and all is well with the world again. That is all I can think. I hope that my friend who lives in Cambridge stays away from the crazy tonite and is safe.
