Its only 10:30 but I am ready to hunker in and pull out a book to finish at least one and start the weekend in a nice and relaxing way.
I think a co-worker is spending the weekend in the sukkah. I hope the orange jumpsuit is baggy enough to not be binding. That sounds really callous, but unfortunately I think its true. In January he mysteriously just stopped driving his car and has had money problems so my skeptisism about his excuse that the car just blew up (doubtful) and that is why he doesn't have it anymore and that he has been dealing with a financial planner (read: lawyer) leads me to believe that this isn't his first DUI and is paying the piper with 3 days in the pokie. Baloney Sammiches and Apples aren't his style. He said that he was going to a "spa". Sure. Bring me back a bottle of shampoo from the room ok? Har.
There are all these five feet tall Mickey Mouse statues all around Cherry Creek North. I am not the biggest fan of the Mouse (maybe from being subjected to the evil that is Disney and its no double peirced ear rule for employment) but some of the statue (go ahead click through them...) things are ok and fun. Cliche' and obnoxious on a corner when you least expect it at 8 a.m. but the kiddies are going to love it. This is the one in front of our building. Which is actually kind of fitting since... yes we could do it (its sponcered by Home Depot, which I also love, I do need to go over there tommorrow come to think of it... I am totally buying a drill and some bathroom lino tiles)!
And I am not watching the Olympics. I did though while flipping through the channels did watch the Trampoline finals. Um seriously and this may be way out of line because these women were sick on the tramp... but when was that determined to be an olympic worthy athletic event? I was impressed and it was crazy to watch them flip around and stuff but the trampoline? I don't think that is what Zeus was being honored with thousands of years ago way back in Greece. But so far 15 minutes is all that I have watched.
