and the buns are divine
We went to Fuddruckers last night to break Pesach. Oh ma gaw. Seriously the buns there are the best ever. I will say that mine wasn't as good as it has been in the past. They went just a touch light on the buttering of the bun prior to grilling. But they can be clearly forgiven since that was really what we went for and it was sooooo good.
I had popcorn this morning for of all things, breakfast. So yummy.
Terrible bad for me, but yummy none the less.
Mom gave me an article on Alysa Stanton from Reform Judiasm. I am bummed because there isn't a link to the article and really should be. She is a terrific lady and I really do admire her for going after what she believes in. I am only very very sorry that so many people are finding her choosing Judiasm as a freakshow. I think its beautiful. I will never ever EVER forget hearing her reading the story of the binding of issac at the high holidays several years ago. It was fantastic. That was a reading by someone that loves this religion so much more that I do. That was a reading by someone that embraces the religion far more than I do. And what is sooooo unbelievably sad is that the only thing these articles bring to the table is that she is african american. So fucking what. I have and never will ever hear anyone read a torah with that much love and joy in her or his (for that matter) heart. We as Jews are blessed to have her.
If she ever comes back to Denver and finds a shul to be a rabbai in, honey... I am going there. No joke. I would go just to hear her read the torah again.
In other news I banished my want of the McDonalds toy. Spared my counter or computer space of more drek laying around. I am so unbelieveably proud for not rushing over and buying. So unbelieveably proud.
