sunday morning with food tv

I love mornings on the weekend. I love them for several reasons. The slow mellow pace. The hot fresh coffee just ground right out of the pot and not the thermos. And most of all the cooking shows on Food Network. I usually print out like a gabillion of the recipies and never actually make any of them, but yesterday, was different. I made so much food. I made chocolate truffles (and used the Barefoot Contessa's tip of a melon baller, so fabulous), I made chedder mashed potatoes with fresh ground white pepper, and hummos. Today I am making Broccoli with Bow Ties, Spiced Candied Walnets and Tuna Burgers (minus the yellow mustard because really I can't take the taste at all, and I probably won't do the relish). This week I am going to be making Mozzerella (if I can find the curd, I am going to be making some calls this afternoon), Eggplant dip with baked tortilla chips and I am sure I have some other recipies. What is incredibly scarey is that the only thing I don't have in my pantry for any of the above recipies is the mozzerella curd.

I went to the market yesterday and bought my Pesach supplies. Eighty frikken dollars later and I still haven't bought my veggies and the boxes of matzah. The most expensive holiday is just one reason I am so unhappy when this time comes around. I love the holiday actually because its all fresh fresh ingredients, family heirloom recipies and eating with my family, but getting prepared is miserable. Thank goodness I don't go over my house with a feather or change plates and pans. Oy vey that would be too much for me.

Sunday is also laundry day. I need to get started. I also have some other errands to run. And I need to get started cooking.

Don't worry I am not eating four portions of food all by my lonesome. Its all going into the office and I am feeding them there because its just way too much food for me alone!
