news flash.... transmissions
They cost alot. But that being said, it had to be done. My car was running like hell and to be honest I was fearing it not being an inexpensive fix. I was so totally right. I was actually only about 35 dollars off in my guestimate of the cost. So I will be living really cheaply for the next say three months until I get the credit card paid off, which is fine. I don't forsee any major expenses coming down the pike so that is ok. But I basically have a brand new car. With in the last say 18 months my entire engine has been changed up little by little. The only thing that would have to be done, which is completely insidental would be one hose which leads from the a/c to the interior of the car. Everything else... been done. Seriously. The money I have spent I probably could have bought a newer used convertible, but whatever. Glad mine is now up to par.
In other news....I was home in time to watch Oprah, which I never do. It was all about the human body and this doctor that was on actually had the major organs on display. It was pretty damn cool. I am just a simple medical geek wanna be. I just chickened out with the option of going pre med in college because the time involved and the studying was scarey (I had terrible studying skills until I went through college for the third time) as all get out for me. Some of the people in the audience were completely grossed out by what they were seeing, I though... completely fascinated. It was more about ... don't do this because you can end up with intestines like this... or this is what an ulcerated stomach looks like, but it was really cool.
Its the simple things.
So its about five and I have no plans for the night or the remainder of the weekend which is so glorious. Time to sit back relax and try and come up with a money making scheme to get 1800 bucks into my checking account legally! I suppose showing up at work on Monday will be a really good start!
