ahhhh yes...friday

After much worrying about friends and fam in NY I have heard from all of them one way or another today. Everyone is safe, sound, a little thirsty but more than a little tired. One friend walked 80 blocks home from work. Another slept in her office and one of my dad's associates sons had to carry his grandmother up five flights of stairs to get her home last night because she was at the doctor getting a check up on her knee replacement and obviously the elevators in her building were out. He lives on the 15th floor of a building so it was much easier for her to be at her house last night. I am very proud of the new york people not taking advantage of a pretty bad situation, no intentional fires, rioting and looting. That seriously needs to be commended. What an amazing place NY really truely must be. I only wish the water situation would clear up quickly. But that will come with time.

Watching tv and seeing the Manhatten skyline dark was definately an amazing thing to see, sad but very amazing. Not sad in the September 11th kind of way (I am still very bothered by many of the visuals I have, most which came from a website[Here is New York ) and its ensueing book (I include the link to the book because now more than ever the images that were donated are simply amazing and a very disturbing document of the time]) but in a very wow look at how everyone pooled together and made humanity proud by being kind and considerate to one another.

I am planning a very productive weekend. I am not quite sure if I will actually get all accomplished that I want to, but honey, I have my list and I have a direction that I am heading. Sunday I do plan on being the queen of the sidewalk cafe in the morning though, now just to pick one! A nice cafe' au lait and slice of decadent cake and I will be set!

Its 10 and I am going to finally finish my latest book and start another. Its all about the weekend and getting things nay projects finished!
