a year older and maybe a little smarter
Today I am heading up to Boulder for for this Arts Festival and Market. It honestly is much better than Cherry Creek's. The Artists are there to sell not display meaning the prices are much better and the Artists themselves are much friendlier I have found. Thank you Joy (whereever you are! You were a good friend and I miss you, but for the life of me can not remember your last name to Google you... bummer!) for introducing me all those long years ago to this little treat.
It also means that I am up on the Pearl Street Mall with a check book and credit card in hand. I have my list of stores I want to go to since they aren't down here in Denver. Some of them will be soon (I have a pulse on some retail development here in the 'void) but not soon enough for my retail shopping needs. Actually two of the stores I am going to that are on my list may be in our project or close by so its like I am on a scouting mission.
House is hot since the a/c went out on Wednesday (to be fixed by Monday morning though... can I hear an amen?) I am very close to getting the fans working to a point where the thermostat reads below 80 degrees, which is a godsend.
Interesting things about today:
It is my birthday and I am nice round numbers again that add up to "9"... a mystical number in the rhelm of Jewish Mystisism (go fig...), hope that means great things for me. Its Independance Day in Laos, Kathleen Turner and George Hamilton were born today too, and today was the day of the First Womens Rights Convention (huh, I did not know that...) and the funnest peice of trivia that I already knew: David Bowie appears for the first time as David Merrick "The Elephant Man" in the Denver Center Theater production of the epinomius play in 1980. (via any day in history).
Gotta go and slather on the sunscreen and get my water bottle out of the freezer, its going to be another scorcher today and I want to be prepared!
Happy Day all!
