this is terrific news
This is the area in which I grew up.
We used to play in the fields around this plant.
And I am proud that the attorney that is working so hard for the families in the neighborhood are getting their due.
AND
I am really glad that the Judge isn't backing down from his statements that Redfield and the company that they leased from knew that they were dumping, didn't do anything about the toxic dumping and covered up the fact that they knew and that it was happening. And they are dumb for not setteling years ago when it came of light.
Knock wood no one in our family got sick. Knock wood that the chemical plume didn't burn its way into our physical lives that we know of. But the trial starts next week and I am going to try and go to the courts during the trial because I think its really important.
The place where I live now is right near an old Air Force base and they have environmental issues as well. We are all getting our homes tested this summer. Especially us folks on the first floor. I am hoping that I will have enough money to sell my place by then. Only because I really do need the room, or shall I say, I really need a second bedroom (for storage and someplace to put my Pez collection).
So, anyways...
This is the plan for the weekend.
I am going to go to the Wizards Chest to go and get some essential toys, maybe sit at the Starbucks, although I may go to the Barnes and Noble and get a couple books and sit at the Starbucks there. Then I will come home and clean the house. I am totally loving the Method Home cleaning products (go to the site and get a coupon! they are the best!) and can't wait to use them!
They really do smell clean and yummy... and according to the website now come in a wide variety of smells and stuff. Color me buyin'!
