woo hoo
I won!
ok it was a one person auction so I really didn't win with any real ability, but I will say that I sure shlepped all over the place today looking for the exact same thing and found nothing. I did though see some really fugly dead people's furniture though. Wow. Sometimes all that wood just is really blechie. I did go to this upstairs shop above some wood furniture thing and I swear it was so amazingly claustrophobic I thought I was going to pass out. What is really a little amusing is that if I had... I don't know if anyone would have even noticed because there was so much crap and I wouldn't have even fallen over. Yikes.
That is ALOT of stuff. ALOT of crap. The guy must have had 50 shelves full of crammed in zippos. It was freakie.
But I ended the note at Mod Living. Much more my style. Deco to 60s, lovingly displayed and gorgeously priced. I almost bought a pair of tourquiose vinyl chairs (they were only 88 bucks) that one of them would have made a great computer chair and the other a great reading chair. But I have that already. I can not wait to go back and check it out again and if in a couple of months when I can afford it, and if they still have them I will get them and this fantastic dresser.
Time to go and watch Law and Order Criminal Intent. Oooo and six feet under too, taped them both.
